TRAFFIC was backed up in Pembroke today (Wednesday, March 26) afternoon after a SIilcox bus collided with the bay window of a shop on Northgate Street.
Nobody was injured in the accident which happened just before 3pm.
Traffic was still down to one lane an hour later, police confirmed.
Just before 4pm, a Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said: “Police attended a road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 2.55pm today (Wednesday, March 26) at Northgate Street, Pembroke.
“A bus has collided with the front of a business property in the street. No injuries have been reported. One lane closed at the moment.”
The Western Telegraph understands the bus collided with the bay window of Bee’s Knees when it pulled over to let an ambulance pass.
About six passengers were transferred to another bus. Silcox Coaches declined to comment.
