ORGANISERS of Broad Haven Carnival praised a ‘fantastic community spirit’ after the annual event again proved a huge success on Saturday.

A variety of floats and fancy dress entrants gathered at Broad Haven Primary School, and then marched to the town’s football field.

Here, visitors were able to enjoy a wide range of stalls and entertainment.

There was also a bouncy castle available that proved more than popular with the youngsters.

Carnival Committee member Les Reohorn said: “We’ve had a great amount of help from the local people which has highlighted the fantastic community spirit we have here.

“More than 50 people helped set things up and the day itself was a great success.”

Onlookers were not only able to enjoy the judging, but also a mini dog show and a humorous race between nine sheep, which Les joked was won in ‘World record’ time.
