NEYLAND will play Pontarddulais in the final of their regional section of the Welsh Cricket Club after a resounding win over Dafen Welfare on Sunday afternoon.

The home side shot the visitors out for just 70, with Henry Durrant dismantling the visitors’ line up with figures of 5-19.

He was backed up by Nathan Banner (2-35), Andrew Miller (1-8), Nick Koomen (1-0) and Callum Woods (1-4), as Sean Hannon’s men never allowed Dafen to settle.

And Neyland made light work of the run chase, cruising home inside 17 overs.

Openers Nick Koomen (15 not out) and Patrick Bellerby (10) got things off to a steady start, before the latter was removed my Matthew Donaghue (1-35).

Ashley Sutton then struck three boundaries before being run out for a quick fire 27, before Andrew Miller (2 not out) joined Koomen in finishing off the job.

The ragged visitors also gave away 17 extras.

The winners of the Neyland v Pontarddulais clash will meet on Sunday, July 27, with the venue to be confirmed. The winners will progress to the Welsh Cricket Cup semi finals, with the winners of the other three regional sections.
