Good Evans scores twice for Goodwick

West Dragons 0

Goodwick United 3

STEPHEN Evans grabbed a goal in each half to ensure Goodwick United won comfortably against struggling West Dragons at The Pavilion Field.

Evans opened the scoring in the tenth minute, the striker rounding keeper Andrew Mathias and tucking the ball home.

In the 26th minute and the visitors doubled their lead, Karl Hedley and Kieran O’Brien combined and the latter’s cross in the box deflected off Dragons defender Ian Harries and into the net.

Lee Palmer hit the crossbar with a powerful header for the Dragons, and Gwilt remarkably saved the ball between his knees from a wicked Jordan Thomas shot just outside the box.

The visitors put the result to bed when Evans made no mistake with a close range finish, the lively striker reading Ryan Howells’ cross to perfection.
