Pennar Robins 8

PENNAR Robins romped to an eight-goal victory against sorry West Dragons at Bush Camp.

The Robins are equal top with Hakin United, and this display merited exactly why they are in the position they deservedly find themselves. The Robins grabbed four goals in each half. James Russell opened the scoring early with a debut goal. Ben Steele added the second with a cheeky lob. Russell slotted home the third and Steele scored from 20-yards out for the fourth.

In the second period Carl Rees hit the crossbar from a free-kick and Adam John followed up to header in the fifth. Carl Rees got on the end of an Adam John cross for the sixth. Phil Thompson also got on the end of a John cross for the seventh and Jimmy Walker worked an overlap to slot in the eighth.

The Robins finished the game with ten-men as Phil Thompson picked up a second yellow card late in the game.
