Gwent company links with network giant

LEADING global pro-vider of network infrastructure NetTasking Inc has linked with Gwent-based Sinetica Corporation

Monmouth-based Sinetica, which employs 20 people, is a specialist firm in the field of remote device management and environmental monitoring

The firm, which was established ten years ago, has its base at Mon-mouth's Singleton Court Business Centre

Sinetica and NetTask-ing have signed a reciprocal sales and marketing agreement. Peter James, director of operations and professional services at Net-Tasking, said: "Combining best-of-breed solutions makes for a powerful business proposition and opens new routes to market.

"Both companies will be able to offer a more complete service, as well as benefit from each other's sales and marketing efforts

NetTasking's MAX net-work management suite combines all the elements needed for network management in one integrated, single offering, and then monitors the performance of the network from one of NetTasking's many global Network Resource Centres (NRCs).

By adopting Sinetica's range of device integration interfaces, Net-Tasking can ensure that elements which may be critical to the overall integrity of the network, which have previously been unmanageable, can be incorporated onto the network and brought within the scope of MAX monitoring

The advantage of the agreement between the two companies will be particularly apparent where customers have made a heavy investment in adding protection and back-up systems to the network environment.

The NetTasking/ Sine-tica partnership will help eliminate any possible points of failure by integrating these systems onto the network to be monitored in the same way as any other infrastructure element.</
