Woods shine in Kilgetty win

Folly Farm Kilgetty (69 for 3) beat Burton (68 all out)

Umpires: Ronnie Morse and Malcolm Mills Scorers: Rose Jenkins and Stuart Sharp

Kilgetty cruised to an easy win against Burton and sent the opposition ever-closing to relegation as they could only muster 67 all out before Kilgetty cruised home in 29 overs.

For Burton, only skipper Richard Hayman and No 10 Kevin Roberts managed double figures and the principal wicket-takers were the father and son duo of Barry and mark Wood, who returned respective figures of 3 for 25 and 4 for 19, the latter in only seven overs. Cliff James weighed in with two quick wickets from only three balls at the finish and Burton had only used 25.3 overs.

The Farm Lads lost Ian Poole for 8 but opening partner Windsor Royall showed typical composure as he batted throughout for his 27 runs, receiving assistance from Paul Mansbridge (19) before Geraint Davies helped Royall see Kilgetty home - and add another nail in the Burton relegation coffin.
