Postponed from April because of the foot and mouth disease outbreak, the South West Wales area group of the National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club sponsored run will now take place on September 8th, with vintage and classic tractors arriving at Llysyfran at around noon.
Local MP Jackie Lawrence will be on hand to flag-in the tractors as they reach the country park. Apart from tractors, a display of working stationary engines, vintage cars and commercial vehicles will delight enthusiasts and the public.
This years run is in aid of the Parkinsons Disease Society and the club hopes that much needed funds for PDS will be swelled by the generosity of those who attend.
Last year large crowds enjoyed the atmosphere and the many exhibits displayed for the 2000 charity run - and the organisers expect an even bigger attendance next month.
Entries have been restricted this year to local owners and drivers. The route does not cross or enter farmland and all tractors will be disinfected prior to the start.
South West Wales area group chairman, Simon Huntley, said: It promises to be a great day out for all.
