Prince Charles paid a morale-boosting visit to Pembrokeshires Castlemartin firing range on Monday, as military units across Britain are put on heightened alert.
The Prince flew in to meet soldiers of the Queens Own Yeomanry Territorial Army unit, of which he is the new Colonel in Chief. Wearing full combat gear, he watched through binoculars as three Sabre tanks demonstrated their firepower on distant targets.
Prince Charles looked visibly relaxed as he talked freely with the soldiers.
When asked about his son William, who started university at St Andrews this week, he replied: He is fine. I hope he is learning something.
