Fishguards famous Royal Oak pub is to be officially re-opened next week by a figure who made history there over 200 years ago during the Last Invasion of Britain.
Yvonne Fox, who has portrayed local heroine Jemima Nicholas since the bicentenary celebrations of 1997, will re-open the pub on Tuesday night. The Royal Oak was recently bought by S. A. Brain and Co Ltd and its new tenant licensees are Paul and Debbie Johnson. They are holding a traditional Welsh folk night to celebrate the re-opening.
