More goals for in-form Bridges

Narberth 2 Fishguard Sports 1

Jason Bridges wonder season continued on Saturday as his goal brace upped his scoring tally to 23 goals for the season.

Fishguard came out well despite fielding a less than full strength side and rattled Narberth at the start but the home side quickly took the lead as Huw Vaughan made a classy break down the left and delivered a cross into the box and Bridges was on hand to score.

Ten minutes before half time and he added another as this time Wayne Howells delivered an inch perfect cross which Bridges chipped over the advancing Carl Woodhouse.

Both sides tended to coast in the second half although it was the visitors who created more opportunities. Ricardo Chozas looked in sublime form as hes back to full fitness after injury and he went close a number of times while Steve Jones deserves praise for a composed performance in defence.

Mike Harries and Clive Marshallsay both had their chances to score but just when it looked as though the game would remain scoreless in the second half, Rob Hughes was brought down in the box and he calmly got up to convert.

A pleased Narberth manager Ralph Phillips said:

Im very happy to get the points but we could have scored more.
