PEMBROKESHIRE has seen a worrying increase in the prevalence of the drug heroin.
Police officers have worked hard to stem the flow and during the past three months several quantities have been seized, the South Pembrokeshire community consultative committee will be told this week. A police report revealed that it has been a particularly busy time for officers in the county, with some notable successes in the fight against crime and disorder.
Offices arrested three people from London who were trying to enter cars in Haverfordwest, and property alleged to be connected to a burglary was recovered.
In Milford Haven the police arrested three people from Bridgend for a variety of offences, including theft and perverting the course of justice.
Following complaints from local residents about noise, disturbance and concerns over road safety, officers in Haverfordwest took strict enforcement action against several people for the alleged misuse of vehicles. The operation also led to the arrest of three people for alleged theft of car parts.
Protracted inquiries into a spate of burglaries throughout the county resulted in a woman being charged with ten offences, and an incident in Fishguard led to the arrest of a man for allegedly possessing an air weapon with intent to endanger life and the unlawful possession of a weapon. A woman was charged with associated offences.
