Big cat sighting at village school

Children and staff from Glandwr Primary School, Whitland, couldnt believe their eyes when they saw a black panther stalking through a field adjoining their school.

Mrs Eluned Lewis, headteacher was alerted when relief teacher Mrs Buddug Jones looked up and saw the creature in the field. She asked Mrs Lewis: Am I seeing what I think I am seeing?

The big cat is said to have walked slowly through the field before going into some bushes. Several children stood on tables to get a better view of the strange animal.

Mrs Lewis later informed the police.

It was all very exciting. It was definitely not a domestic cat, it was much, much bigger. said Mrs Lewis

The school is now waiting for someone from Swansea University to come and investigate the strange sighting.
