Goodwick come from behind to win

Goodwick United recovered from being a goal down at half -time to record a good win away at Monkton Swifts.

The Swifts started off well with Benno Jones showing his class up front and it was the player/manager who put the Swifts ahead on 30 minutes after Mike Jones and Dean Busby were involved in the build up. Goodwick had their chances to draw level but Dai Hayes and Ryan Thomas were just off target with their headers.

Busby put the Swifts two goals to the good just after the break and then hit the cross bar soon after.

But then Goodwick pulled one back courtesy of a Dai Hayes header and then further goals were scored by Chris Manning who hit an own goal and Bernie Armstrong who snatched the points with a powerful header.

Milford United gained a convincing win against Fishguard Sports who were without several key players, but nevertheless made life quite difficult for the Robins early on.

Milford took the lead after 33 minutes when Martin Mathias delivered a pin-point cross to Ashley Britten who headed the ball home.

Milford were now in control and scored further goals in the second half by Andrew Burgoyne and Tom Carrington.

Meanwhile, Narberth suffered a set-back ahead of this weekends cup final when they lost 2-1 at home against Pennar. The home goal was scored by Raff Barnett while Marcus Lyons grabbed a brace for the visitors.
