Police investigate barmans death

POLICE are investigating the sudden death of a popular Pembroke barman, Scott Johnston, at the Eastgate Hotel in the early hours of Sunday.

Scott, who worked at the hotel as a bar person and was also in charge of the music and quiz night there, was found by a resident at the foot of the stairs.

Aged 34, he originally came from Nottingham where he had two sisters and a brother.

He had been in Pembrokeshire for over ten years and had worked at both the Eastgate Hotel and Cromwells Tavern.

Police are anxious to talk to anybody on the premises during the evening or following morning.

l Its the second tragedy to hit Pembrokes Main Street area recently, following the death a fortnight ago of Cindy McAteer.
