REPORTS that the housing market is levelling off dont appear to be reflected in Pembrokeshire.
Estate agents are reporting a buoyant level of activity in the local housing market - a trend which appears to have coincided with the summer holiday season.
Offers to buy are coming from both the local population and outsiders seeking to invest.
Cecilia Sykes, manager of Bob-Jones Prytherchs Haverfordwest office, said the last two weeks had been particularly busy.
The market is very active which I personally believe has got a lot to do with the time of the year and the area we live in, she said.
It also appears that the days when Pembrokeshires property prices lagged behind the national average are long over, with demand outstripping supply.
We have got a very strong market down here and the prices have gone up considerably, said Mrs Sykes.
Demand for some properties is so great that the trend towards auctions has increased.
On Friday, one of Pembrokeshires most desirable properties will come under the auctioneers hammer.
Grade two listed Bwthyn y Twr, which enjoys a superb position directly opposite St Davids Cathedral, is to be sold at auction at The Warpool Court Hotel, St Davids.
