Beddau 30 Narberth 23
A second half recovery by Beddau saw them score 20 points without response by Narberth, inflicting another defeat on The Otters after the visitors had looked in command as they opened up a 20-3 lead and were 23-10 in front at the interval.
A good away win seemed on the cards but the Mid Glamorgan side used their slope to good advantage and coach Keith Eaton still has to wrestle with the problem of restoring confidence in his talented team.
After a settling-in period the Otters made their presence felt as good work by Simon Davies's pack earned penalties which fly half Gareth James kicked after an earlier miss.
In between these scores there were problems for Beddau as flanker Steve Cole was yellow-carded and in his absence Narberth grabbed the first try of the game when centre Elgan Vittle intercepted near his own 22 and kicked ahead.
He was supported by full back Wayne Jones and scrum half Chris MacDonald, who robbed home full back Greg Jones and made the ball available for prop Alan Phillips to pound over as reward for his support play.
Greg Jones opened up the Beddau scoring with a penalty but Narberth extended their advantage with a corner try for winger Nick Jones which Gareth James did well to convert.
But things started to go awry for The Otters when MacDonald was sin-binned and scrum half Gareth Jones claimed a try which his namesake Greg converted - although Narberth had the final word of the half when James kicked a late penalty.
Home No 8 Dean Barnes, who was involved in all that his side did, opened the second-half scoring with a close-range try which Greg Jones converted - and Beddau moved to within a point of The Otters as flanker Steve Cole crashed over in the right corner.
Narberth brought on Emori Katalau and Matthew Evans for Jason Jennings and Simon Davies but Beddau were in rampant mood and snatched the lead when Barnes crossed for his second try.
Greg Jones missed the conversion but Gareth Jones sealed a home win with a late drop goal that saw the Beddau second-half comeback complete!
