Hakin turn it on after the break in game of high drama

There were goals galore at Jesse Road, on Saturday as Narberth and Hakin really turned on the gas.

Paul Jones got the ball rolling with a well struck shot in the fifth minute while in the tenth, Leighton Edwards increased the lead. Jones then added his second to give the visitors a three goal lead but Narberth soon pulled one back when Marc Hughes delivered a neat cross which Raff Barnett converted.

Edwards then made it 4-1 before Narberth shocked the visitors by scoring twice more. Both goals were scored by Jamie Howitt. Unbelievably, this was all done before the half-time oranges!

After a stern talking to by Vikings' manager Chris Tansey, Hakin tightened things up at the back and they soon took control in the second half. They eventually put the game beyond doubt as both Jones and Edwards completed their hat-tricks to make sure the points went back to the Obs.

The points were shared at Bush Camp however as Pennar Robins and Prendergast Villa drew 1-1. The home side went 1-0 up after 30 minutes of this tough encounter when Steve James' shot flew into the top corner. Prendergast too had their chances but just couldn't put them away.

However they did manage to pull one back in the second half when Chris Williams struck a neat equaliser into the bottom corner. Villa manager Paul Britton was disappointed with the result saying: "We should have won it, we created more but just couldn't put them away."

Meanwhile a few miles away in Monkton the home side went down by two goals to one as Goodwick Utd took the spoils. Ian Rome put the home side ahead in the first half with a powerful left footed strike and his was the only goal of a dour half.

However it all changed after the break as Goodwick hit their straps and scored twice. The first when Steve Blackford deftly struck one over the wall from a free-kick while the second came from the boot of Alan Davies who powerfully headed home from a John Bailey corner.

Fishguard Sports' miserable season continued at Marble Hall as they went down to yet another defeat. Buoyant following their unexpected draw with Hakin the week before, Milford UTD scored six quality goals and but for a lack of composure could have scored a few more.

Joff Lennon got the first while Nicky Woodrow came off the subs bench to score twice in the second half. Fellow sub Mark McCarthy also did the same with two well struck efforts while the talented Geraint James wrapped it all up by scoring the Robins' sixth.
