New air charter link launched

A NEW air charter service has been launched at the West Wales Airport, Aberporth - a move set to benefit the area both economically and socially.

MannAir Charter operates a fleet of four aircraft and flies from Aberporth to destinations throughout the UK and Northern Europe, carrying from one to nine passengers and drastically cutting time using other forms of transport and unwanted overnight stays.

West Wales Airport and MannAir Charter are both divisions of The Mann Organisation, which also operates a flight training school at Aberporth. The airport is set for major development, opening up the prospect of accommodating larger aircraft flying in and out of west Wales.

The development of the airport is being undertaken in conjunction with the Welsh Development Agency and other agencies which are building Parc Aberporth, the adjacent high tech business park.

MannAir is initially operating four Piper aircraft - a Chieftain and a Navajo for larger groups, plus two Senecas carrying up to four passengers.
