Got a talent?

IT'S THAT time of the year again, the time when the Western Telegraph's sister paper, the Milford & West Wales Mercury, casts a net for the best amateur talent in the county.

The senior contest, due to be held this autumn, provides an invaluable experience for anyone considering pursuing a career in entertainment, where the winner may follow in the footsteps of reigning champ Ann-marie Riley.

Great prizes are on offer and all money raised will be donated to the Paul Sartori Foundation. Says contest organiser Jeff Dunn: "In the two years they've been running, the Mercury amateur talent contests have raised around £5,500 for the Paul Sartori Foundation. "It's anticipated that the contest will be around mid-September to early October."

For more details on how to qualify for the contest, contact the Mercury at 92 Charles Street, Milford Haven, SA73 2HE, or call 01646 698971. The closing date for entries is July 31st.
