Fabled rooks are a nuisance

DEAR EDITOR, - Maybe one day, the rooks nesting at the Cross Square in St Davids will return whence they came, the grounds of The Treasury in the Cathedral Close. I'm sure last week's writer Mrs Nona Rees (Fabulous Birds Of Folklore, June 25th) would welcome them to her surroundings.

The majority of the residents of St Davids would be pleased to see them go - no-one more so than our street cleansing officer who has the arduous task of cleaning up their mess.

GARETH EVANS 55 Penygarn, St Davids.
