Pembroke (114 all out) lost to St Ishmaels (244 for 2) Umpires: Hilliard Davies and Tony Scourfield Scorers: Wendy Bradshaw and Jill Pawlett
Pembroke's disappointing season continued as they lost heavily at Treleet against a St Ishmaels side who started well and really went for the jugular after splendid knocks by Peter Bradshaw, Steve and Andrew Williams sent Tish soaring to such a huge score.
Pembroke were in trouble almost from the outset as captain Barry Evans was caught by Glyn Griffiths off Kristan Bennett from only the third ball of the innings - and only youngsters Matthew Mitchell, Phil Hay and William Davies managed to accrue many runs as wickets fell at regular intervals.
Put in to bat, Tish were soon racing away as Steve Williams and Bradshaw put on 98 for the first wicket before Williams was caught for 50 by Hay off the bowling of Paul White, with nine fours to his credit.
Bradshaw then added a further 109 runs in conjunction with Andrew Williams before he was out 11 runs short of a hundred, having struck a six and ten fours before Kevin Jenkins finally trapped him 'leg before' as reward for once again being the best Pembroke bowler as he had six maidens in his 12-over stint.
Bennett's pace was the early architect of Pembroke's batting downfall as he not only removed Evans but quickly shifted White with the assistance of a catch from keeper Bradshaw, following up with the wicket of Huw Davies without scoring.
At the other end, Pawlett shifted Craig Nutty for a 'golden duck' and Matthew Mitchell for 21 as Bradshaw was again involved with the gloves.
Hay, William Davies and Kevin Jenkins tried hard to escape the inevitable defeat but Steve Williams' off-spin earned him figures of 4 for 24 to finish of the tail - and Tish were good value for a win by 130 runs.
The St Ishmaels match ball was sponsored by Robert Thomas esquire.
