Bank employee stole £50,000

A former employee of Lloyds TSB in Haverfordwest wept as she admitted stealing over £50,000 from her employer.

Joanne Marie Latham, aged 32, of 14 Laburnam Grove, Haverfordwest, was charged with 14 counts of theft when she appeared before magistrates in the town last Wednesday. The thefts took place between April 2002 and January 2003.

The sums of money concerned range from £908.04 up to £16, 701.31.

Magistrates decided the case should be sent to Crown Court for sentencing because of the amount of money involved.

The case was adjourned until August 22nd. Latham was granted bail on the condition she co-operates with the preparation of psychiatric and pre-sentence reports.
