Explosion of top musical talent

Friday sees the return to Pembrokeshire of The Chicago Music Explosion, a changing feast of top quality bands and musicians from America's second city.

They first appeared here last year and amazed the Queens Hall audience, with their US roots style, strong lyrics and incredible energy.

Returning this year will be Melissa Zeimer, who has her own style of powerful country rock, The Convulsions, who meld 60s R'n'B 70s punk with incendiary energy, and The Ghettobillies (described as the highlight of last year's show) whose up-tempo country rock, delivered in confident and friendly style, had everyone up dancing.

New this year is Scottish McMillan, a talented singer-songwriter who is noted in the mid-west for his bristling solo acoustic showcase. Doors open at 8pm and tickets cost £8.
