A combination of realism and mythology

Work by two artists, exhibiting for the first time in Pembrokeshire, will be on show at the Oriel Y Felin Gallery, Trefin, from September 13th.

Geoffrey Davies, from Porthcawl, and Simon Huson, from Chepstow, have striking and individual styles.

Geoffrey Davies is fascinated by the ephemeral, collecting material discarded by others. Much of his recent work has been stimulated by a graveyard of old and abandoned boats. Simon Huson's earliest influences were artists best known for their fantasy works. His work combines realism and medieval mythology.

In addition to the work of the two guest artists, which will be on show for two weeks, regular exhibitors - including paintings by Pauline Beynon - continue to feature in Trefin's Oriel y Felin Gallery. The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday, 11am to 5pm, Saturday, 2pm to 5pm and Sunday, 11am to 5pm.
