Ideal location up for sale

A prime development site on Honeyborough Roundabout, Neyland, is on the market.

The location is considered ideal for a restaurant, motel, travel lodge, out-of-town store; retail warehouse; or for light industrial use, subject to planning.

The land is currently occupied by Roundabout Garage, which is relocating. The business will move to a new showroom and workshop, which will be built on an adjacent site. Roundabout Garage has its roots in the family business set up by Mr Harwood Griffiths in 1951, in Tenby, where it remained until 1990.

Mr Griffiths went on to establish the Cheriton Garage, in Carew, and his two sons Steve and Roger took over the Roundabout Garage at Honeyborough in 1984. Roger is managing director and Steve is now semi-retired, but remains as consultant to the company.

"We have a prime site on the main road, so this is now up for sale. "We have already had strong interest in the site and a number of enquiries, which we have passed on to our agents," explained Steve Griffiths.

"We will be downsizing the business slightly. But we have plans for a new car showroom, which will accommodate up to 50 cars and will retain our Proton franchise. "We will also be building three light industrial units, one of which will keep as our own workshop. The other two will be available for rent.

"We look forward to welcoming our present customers and new ones when we move to our new site."
