Holidaymakers and locals turned out to line the village streets for the annual High Tide procession to Manorbier beach on July 24th.
Young people aged five to 15 worked alongside local professional artist and craftsman, Chris Elliott, to make weird and wonderful sculptures inspired by the unusual paintings of Hieronymous Bosch. Their drawings were converted into 3D sculptures and many helped to make a four-foot hay and straw rabbit, which will now spend the rest of its days grazing in the beer garden of the Castle Inn Pub.
Procession supporters witnessed strange mythical creatures on poles and 'forbidden fruits' depicted in the artists' paintings, followed by a parade and drumming performance on Manorbier beach led by local musician, Vince Pereczes.
The beach party continued with a percussion workshop by internationally acclaimed blind multi-instrumentalist, Hassan Erraji from Morroco and a finale performance by him and his band at Manorbier Community Centre in the evening.
Ten-year-old Caitlin Buck, of Jameston, said of the workshop: "I loved working with a professional artist and seeing how what you draw can be made into a 3D sculpture."
