3,500 people oppose charges

Dear Editor, - In response to your report, Reg Speaks Out Against Free Parking Campaign, I would like to point out that Reg Owens is a county council employee, and as such, his opinion may not be unbiased.

Also, if, as Reg states, the disabled people strive for equality, does that mean that he will be rejecting the high rate DLA and the free road tax concession.

I have never disclosed that I am on the Access Group, nor have I ever professed to know the feelings of fellow members on this issue.

What I am doing is representing the feelings of the 3,500 people who have signed the petition against these unfair charges.
