Town's new guiding lights

The Haverfordwest Town Centre Partnership has once again introduced its 'meet and greet' initiative.

Two town guides will be on duty in the town to make visitors feel really welcome and to point out places of interest to visit. The guides are also distributing the official shopper's guides with a free map of the town and a 'where to eat' feature.

This year's guides are local students Harry Roberts, of Freystrop, and Jamie Doughty, of Hook.

The meet and greet service is also offered to visiting coaches and the town guides offer a short introductory talk on the town of Haverfordwest, as well as giving every passenger a free guide and a postcard to send to friends.

"This scheme has proved very popular with visiting coaches and last year we provided the service to well over 100 coaches which made appointments for the service" said George Allingham, chairman of the Partnership.
