Poor provision for future parking

Dear Editor, - The Pembroke Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) branch supports the park and ride concept for the alleviation of congestion and inadequate parking facilities within Haverfordwest.

We also support the implementation of this initiative for Pembroke, Narberth, Tenby and St Davids, all of which experience acute deficiency of parking places.

For the park and ride scheme to be successful it is perceived that ALL the arterial routes into the towns would need these satellite parking facilities, with a regular free bus service to encourage use, especially for those who need long-term parking.

As the representative body of many of the SME business community within the county, we would appreciate these proposals and initiatives being enacted on as our members have noted that the JDUP does not appear to resolve the issue over the forthcoming planning term.

Paul Murray Chairman Pembrokeshire (FSB) branch C/o Unit 10, Honeyborough Business Park Neyland.
