Outstanding customer service offered by local branches

Staff at NatWest's St Clears and Whitland branches are celebrating their success in a national customer driven competition, which has recognised their delivery of outstanding customer service.

The branches beat off strong competition from NatWest branches throughout the country to be awarded the Customer Driven Branch Award, which is given by the bank to branches that deliver a quality service across a range of customer needs. Scores given by customers by means of a questionnaire determine the result, and staff at St Clears and Whitland branches have come out on top.

Keith Williams, officer in charge of NatWest's Whitland and St Clears branches, said: "When you work so hard as a team to deliver a quality service, it's great to receive a national award from the bank, but it means so much more because it's our customers' comments that have put the branch in the top spot."

Wayne John, NatWest's manager for the Carmarthen group of branches, who presented the award to the branches, said: "The most important point of this award is that the customers of the branches have told us that we deliver a service that meets and even exceeds their expectations. Customer comments are essential for staff to develop their customer service skills further."
