The 50th Anniversary Hayscastle Horticultural and Pony Show turned out to be a bumper event, attracting more entries and visitors than last year.
The organisers were delighted with the success of the show, which ended well into the evening.
To mark the anniversary, there were more attractions than ever at Plaindealings Fields, Hayscastle. The show is renowned for its horse and pony classes and introduced for the first time was a side saddle class, which proved very popular.
Mounted fancy dress, open jumping and the gymkhana drew considerable entries and also popular were the dog and horticultural shows, the children's competitions and the YFC stand with its activities.
Show presidents were Mr and Mrs Idris Morgan.
Show secretary, Sarah Davies, said: "Entries were up and so was the number of visitors. In fact we ran out of car parking space. We are just thankful we had such good weather."
"To celebrate our 50th show, Hayscastle will be holding a dinner at the Pavilion, Withybush, on Octover 1st." Tickets from Sarah on 01437 840235, all welcome.
