Crowds flocked to Milford Haven to enjoy The Big Weekend on Friday and Saturday.
Des Galdo, chairman of Milford Haven Round Table, who arranged the festivities, said: "The event went really well with a total of around 15,000 to 20,000 attending. I would estimate 30% more people attended than last year."
The fairground atmosphere in Hamilton Terrace was enhanced by tightly packed stalls offering treats from cuddly toys to candy floss.
The biggest funfair ever seen in west Wales, live music and a massive fireworks display were among the highlights of the weekend.
Round table member and key organiser, Ian Richie, said: "We really want this event to grow and become something special for Milford Haven"
The money raised, which is currently still being counted, will go towards local charities that appeal to the Round Table.
The success of the weekend was not marred by the lack of support by Milford Haven Town Council, which refused to help with policing costs of £3,500.
Mr Richie, said:"I am very disappointed at the attitude of the town council in not supporting us."
Mayor of Milford Haven Town Council, Phyllis Williams, said: "It was a democratic vote by the council and sadly sometimes democracy hurts.
"I don't want to sour relationships with the Round Table as we support them on a lot of other projects and will continue to do so."
