On the recent ITV1 show She's the One, Pembrokeshire singer Elaina Hoss, aged 16, get tantalisingly close to stardom with Westlife, when she auditioned to sing with band.
Elaina, who is studying A-levels at Tasker Milward School Haverfordwest, made an appearance on the prime-time TV show watched by millions, and made it to the final three to win the opportunity to sing with Westlife on their Rat Pack album.
It is not Elaina's first taste of the limelight - she was a finalist in our summer competition Pembrokeshire Idol and she is enjoying great success singing with Pembrokeshire's award-winning youth Big Band and Jazz Ensemble.
Elaina wasn't too disappointed not to have won the competition.
Said her proud mum, Sarah Hoss: "I realised it would be a tough competition, but Elaina's got a lovely jazzy voice and I felt she had a chance in this audition, so I encouraged her to have a go. She managed to stay on the shortlist up until the final three, which is a huge achievement, and a great experience for her."
Elaina has enjoyed singing since infancy and won a place at the prestige Cathedral School in Cardiff before moving to Pembrokeshire and has since been given many singing opportunities in the county - coming first in the jazz section of the recently held Texaco music festival.
