BJP and Co report - store cattle (96), an excellent entry of cattle for the last mart of the year.

Mostly young cattle under 12 months with a claim to com with plenty of farmers prepared to pay a fair price.

Charolais Steers (1 claim, 8 months) £478 Blonde Steers (1 claim, 10 months) £440 Limousin Steers (1 claim, 8 months) £425 Hereford Steers (1 claim, 11 months) £420 Simmental Steers (1 claim, 12 months) £420 Limousin Heifers 916 months) £345 Angus Heifers (127 months) £340 Hereford Heifers (8 months) £300

Calves (90). Quality calves were few. Trade however for second quality was better than previous weeks.

A top price of £146 for a Limousin Bull sold by Mr Davies, Llandeloy. Heifers sold to a max of £94 also for a Limousin sold by Messrs John, Pencnwc, Castlemorris. Trade for Friesian Bulls was again slow with a top price of £22.
