Many events and fundraising already arranged in aid of the disaster fund include:

* Creative Electronics in Bridgend Square, Haverfordwest, will be raffling off a Cort limited edition electric guitar worth £230. The draw will be made by local guitarist John Rodge at the end of the month and tickets are £1.

* The Rock Youth, a local group in Crundale, will be holding a coffee morning on Saturday at the village hall from 10am until noon, when proceeds from a carwash, slave auction and various stalls will be donated to the disaster fund. Admission is £1.

* Focus DIY at Withybush Retail Park, Haverfordwest, is providing local residents with a Tsunami Appeal cash collection point at its store for those who wish to donate.

At national level, the company is investigating further ways in which it can help people affected by the disaster, by forming partnerships with aid agencies in offering building materials to assist with future rebuild projects.

* Towels, bedding, dried food and toiletries, as well as shoeboxes packed with useful items, are being collected at branches of Stewarts Seconds to be sent out to Sri Lanka.

* A coffee morning to support the disaster relief fund is being held today (Wednesday) at St Johns Church, Tenby between 10.30am and 12.30pm.

* Pembroke and Angle Peninsula Chamber of Trade and Tourism will be holding a sponsored walk around Llysyfran reservoir in aid of the Tsunami Appeal on Sunday, March 20th. Sponsorship forms are available from all chamber members. Further information is available from Mr Tony Jago, chairman of PapCoTT, on 01646 621010 or Jennifer's Cakes, 44 Main Street, Pembroke.

FUNDRAISING for an orphanage in Thailand - whose numbers have swelled from 100 to 1,000 since the disaster - takes place in Tenby on Saturday, January 22nd.
