Stop criticising and get behind Bluestone

Dear Editor, - It is a great pity that your correspondent Mr Williams (letter, January 5th) continues to criticise the Bluestone development.

Mr Williams is clearly out of touch with the many undertakings to source employees, goods and services locally. Many expressions of interest and notice of intent between local suppliers and Bluestone have been reported in the media.

Critics seem to scoff at the quality of jobs that may be offered but with a work force of 600, there will be substantial career opportunities as well as the cachet of working for a world-class resort. Part-time working is of huge benefit to many prospective employees.

Pembrokeshire should get behind Bluestone and be thankful that the huge investment will increase local prosperity and enhance our reputation as a holiday destination.
