Concert cash repaid thanks to Telegraph

A MOTHER-OF-TWO who splashed out on four tickets to the ill-fated Rosehill pop festival has finally got her refund, seven months after the event was cancelled.

After waiting for her money since July, Amanda John, of 22 Meadow Road, Jameston, contacted the Western Telegraph, which demanded Funtime Entertainment guarantee a date by which she would get her refund.

Just four days after the Western Telegraph spoke to Funtime Entertainment, Amanda received a cheque for the full amount.

The tickets to the outdoor event, that was to feature Blue, Girls Aloud and The Commitments, cost Amanda a total of £118.

She said: "When the concert was called off I naturally assumed that a full refund would be given very shortly.

"I had been trying to get my money back for months and it has been very stressful."

When it was announced that the concert had been cancelled, Mrs John sent the tickets back to Funtime Entertainment as instructed, and kept the stubs as proof of purchase.

However, Funtime Entertainment contacted her to say it would need the stubs in order to give her money back.

Noting down the ticket numbers, Mrs John sent these back to the company as well. When the money was still not forthcoming, she contacted the firm again only to be told her tickets had been lost.

Then she turned to the Western Telegraph for help.

"I would like to thank the Western Telegraph for getting my money back. I wish I'd called you earlier."
