Parking madness

Dear Editor, - I could not believe my eyes when I went into Haverfordwest this weekend; despite the lack of parking, the spaces on Victoria Place have now been given over to taxis, which are always there in the evenings anyway!

So now if one wishes to deposit a cheque or draw money from any of the three banks on Victoria Place one has to first find a parking place and a 10-15 minute task takes 30-40 minutes.

What will happen is that the banks in question will eventually withdraw their offices, as customers change to internet or postal banking due to the inconvenience.

Why does Haverfordwest need the number of taxi ranks usually restricted to cities or, at the least, very large towns?

Mr and Mrs James Wallis Park, Crundale.
