Pupils of Ysgol Dewi Sant in St Davids raised £1,000 at a recent fundraising day for the victims of the tsunami.
The money will be used by the Disasters Emergency Committee to provide aid for the millions of victims who have been injured, orphaned, traumatised or made homeless by the tsunami in Asia.
Deputy headteacher Ray Bevan said: "The school's response to the tsunami appeal has been astounding - with the pupils raising a record £805.10 for a non-uniform day and members of staff contributing an additional £200."
Head boy Edward Wheeler added: "All the pupils feel very strongly about this appeal and wanted to help the victims of this terrible disaster in any way possible."
Deputy head boy Medi George said: "As soon the sixth form began collecting the money for the non-uniform day, it was obvious that many of the pupils wanted to donate more than the suggested £1.
"Many donated their entire pocket money and spare cash to this very deserving cause."
Some of the biggest fundraisers were Janice Williams, who raised £26 from selling chocolates; Guy Farley in year nine, who raised £19.20 from selling cakes, and Jamie Smith in year ten, who collected £50 from his family, friends and neighbours in Haverfordwest.
