Stars make chatter matter

IF you could be any character from a nursery rhyme, which one would it be?

Old King Cole was certainly a merry old soul, while the animal lovers may want the menagerie of animals owned by Old McDonald.

To celebrate the launch of this year's Chatterbox Challenge, Pembrokeshire TV stars Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen and Fiona Phillips were asked just that, and they came back with some very interesting answers.

Laurence was only too happy to get into the fundraising spirit, with his character of choice being 'The King - sitting in his counting house - counting all his money'.

Fiona's preference of Little Bo Peep reflected her country roots, explaining that 'the idea of working outdoors tending a flock of sheep really appeals - plus she always wore nice clothes'!

Laurence and Fiona are backing the challenge - a sponsored 'chat-along', organised by I CAN, the charity that helps children communicate.

The event challenges young children to 'Make Chatter Matter' by learning and performing rhymes, songs and stories to raise vital awareness and funds for children who struggle to communicate.

Starting on January 31st, children across Pembrokeshire will be using their voices to help those who can't. Little chatterboxes who would like to get involved can order a ChatterPack by calling 0870 45 85 475 or by logging on to www.chatterbox challenge.org.uk.
