Explosive fun!

You may think the human cannonball is something out of a cartoon, but last week hundreds of circus-goers saw the explosive stunt live at Withybush Showground, Haverfordwest.

Diego Marakavo, the centrepiece of Cottle and Austen Electric Circus, flew over 40 feet at a speed of around 65mph into a net in front of incredulous onlookers.

By no means alone, the rocket man is accompanied by Slavi in the Giant German Wheel, an Elvis impersonator, clowns and dancing girls, and, of course, no circus would complete without unicycle-riding basketball players.

With this ensemble of family fun and physical wizardry, it is little wonder this big top continues to pull in the crowds.
