Black swan signs in

THE black swan sighted at Monkton, Pembroke, recently may also have visited the Cardigan area.

David Giles, of Cardigan, photographed the Australian native on the banks of the Teifi at St Dogmaels on February 11th.

It was with a pair of white swans and Mr Giles said all three were very tame.

"If I'd had food with me, it would have eaten out of my hand," he said.

Mr Giles has not seen the bird since and believes it could well be the same one that Dave and Pauline Cook saw at Millbacks, Monkton, at the end of February.
