Elliot signs for Cardiff City U11s

TEN-year-old Tenby soccer sensation Elliott Scotcher, has just signed a one year contract with Cardiff City U11s.

The gifted footballer has been training hard for three months atv City's development centre in Carmarthen.

The midfielder was spotted there and asked to attend a six weeks trial at Ninian Park. In that period young Scotcher proved his worth by featuring well in matches against Reading, Swindon and Cheltenham.

And for his reward he has signed a contract and will be under the watchful eye of manager Matthew Crocker and coach Chris Ingram.

Obviously, his parents and family are extremely proud of Elliot's brilliant achievement, and so are the committee and players at Tenby AFC where he started playing.

Elliot will now be relishing the prospect of playing high profile teams such as Aston Villa, Birmingham and Chelsea.

Telegraph Sport wishes young Elliot, all the very best in his footballing journey and, who knows, he might one day follow in the famous footsteps of Simon Davies and Mark Delaney, who both started out kicking a ball around the junior pitches of Pembrokeshire.

Anyone interested in sponsoring Elliot or helping towards the expensive travelling costs can telephone 01834 843588.
