And baby makes five

Five generations of a Fishguard family - the youngest only four weeks old and the oldest at 92 - came together to welcome the newest addition last week.

It was a heart warming scene as a great-great grandmother, a great-grandmother a grandmother and a new mum came together to celebrate the arrival of a fifth generation to the family.

Xaria Angel Davies, born four weeks ago, completes a fifth generation of women in the family and is, according to great-great grandmother, Mam, otherwise known as Mrs Poston "a very contented baby."

Mam, who has known many babies in her time, being a mum of three and having nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, looked pleased as punch with the newest addition to the family.

Xaria, whose name, grandma Julie said, means 'Gift of Love' was oblivious to all the attention as, surrounded by adoring family members, she slept peacefully.

Mum Sophie, who was born in the county and whose step-grandfather is Fishguard and Goodwick town councillor Dai Wiliams, said Xaria really was as good as gold.
