The king hits Solva!

ELVIS is alive and well - and performing at Solva Memorial Hall.

Elvis Preseli, that is.

The star turn by Solva's Will Candler was one of over 20 local acts that took to the stage in Solva, recently, for a two-night fundraiser.

Locals, many of whom had never performed on stage before, entertained audiences with singing, dancing, and comedy routines.

Unfortunately Elvis was not the only one to leave the building after the shows. The stage disappeared back to its home in St Davids.

But the Solva Memorial Hall Committee is putting the £800 raised towards the £3,000 needed to buy a stage of its own.

Concert organiser Jenny Davies said future fundraising efforts will include a summer ball and a Christmas function.
