Standing for the Green Party is 41-year-old Molly Scott Cato.
Born in Wales in 1963, she grew up in Bath and studied politics, philosophy and economics at Oxford University.
She has a PhD in economics from the University of Wales and is national speaker on economics for the Green Party of England and Wales.
Mrs Cato works at the Welsh Institute for Research into Cooperatives in Cardiff. Her main interest is economic development.
She has been an active member of the Green Party since 1988, standing for election at all levels, including in the General Election in Preseli Pembrokeshire, the 1999 and 2003 Assembly elections and the 2004 European election.
She is a senior figure in the Green Party, having co-chaired the party's national council and served twice on its executive committee, and has researched and published papers on a wide variety of topics alongside her work on economic development.
She has also undertaken commissioned research including a report for the Association of Green Councillors on the subject of Using Best Value to Encourage Green Procurement in Local Authorities.
She has three children and lives in Aberystwyth. In her spare time she enjoys choral singing, opera, and reading.
