A QUESTION MARK hangs over the future of a destructive ram which caused nearly £11,000 worth of damage to a fleet of new Land Rovers.
The ram, which has since struck up a friendship with Martin Green's pet lamb, Alice, wandered into a paddock where the Land Rover dealer was storing models of the Discovery 3 and the Freelander.
The male sheep rammed several vehicles, leaving a trail of damage in his wake, before turning his annoyance on one of the dealership's staff.
Claude Brevost was picking up the vehicles to return them to Green's Motors in Haverfordwest, and was unceremoniously butted by the ram.
Martin Green, dealer principal of Green's Land Rover, said: "We're quite used to our vehicles attracting attention, but never anticipated this kind of attention. We certainly won't be parking our vehicles in the paddock for some time, at least until it's ram proof!"
It's not the first time that animals have expressed an interest in Green's Land Rover.
A pet hamster once wandered into the inner workings of a Land Rover and had to be rescued by the fire brigade.
The dealership was also called out to a Land Rover that had broken down, only to discover a crocodile in the boot on its way to be circumcised.
Green's is the oldest Land Rover approved dealership, having started selling vehicles for Land Rover in 1948. Martin is the fifth generation to own and run Green's.
The future of the stray ram remains precarious. "I have a feeling that he may well end up as a lamb curry!'' said Mr Green.
