Charging pain

DEAR EDITOR,- I have just found out that Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, has just started a policy of charging disabled drivers for parking their cars when they attend the hospital for treatment.

Surely this cannot be allowed to stand, as most disabled people are also unable to work and very often, of pensionable age, they will be on a fixed and very limited income. This fact is recognised in the rest of the country and indeed the European Union, in general, by allowing disabled people to park free.

There is something sick about an institution that is supposed to be dedicated to the relief of pain and suffering making money from such a group of disadvantaged people
