Operatic delights

The splendid natural amphitheatre of Lampeter House, Lampeter Velfrey, will be the setting for further operatic delights this summer.

On July 8th the Garden Opera Company will perform Rossini's Cinderella, to follow the last five years' successful productions of The Magic Flute, The Barber of Seville, Carmen and Don Giovanni, while the following morning at 11am there will be a Musical Coffee Morning by the company.

The Friday evening opera at 7pm includes wine and canaps for £21 a head and the morning coffee and croissants at £7.

Opera Box are back on August 5th at 7pm with Verdi's La Traviata, which, if it is as spectacular as last year's Madama Butterfly or the previous year's Figaro, will be an experience not to be missed. Once again with wine and canaps, the tickets are £21 per head.

The added dimensions provided by the summer flora and fauna and the broad canopy of the sky make these open air performances especially magical.
